Amanda Bynes Denies Being Fired, But Is Still Retired
Jun 23rd

She’s only been out of the biz for four days and she’s already been sucked back in!
On the heels of her Twitter retirement announcement on Saturday, rumors started to manifest saying that Amanda Bynes was abruptly kicked out of starring in the new comedy Hall Pass alongside Owen Wilson and Christina Applegate because of “bad behavior.”
Her rep immediately stepped in to clear up the story, claiming Amanda left the production “due to a scheduling conflict.” According to the rep, there was no “mini-intervention” for Amanda and the studio “mutually agreed” to part ways with her when she asked to leave.
So there was no drama. Boring Case closed.
You know, the more we think about it, the more we wish about a dozen other starlets would retire instead of Amanda. Not because we are so desperate to see Sydney White 2, mind you, but just because there is just so many crappy actresses in this town. We think it might be time to clean house.
First to go – KSTEW!!!!
Who would U like to see retire???

Retired in Florida? Movies for the Young at Heart
Jan 9th
The time comes when it’s time to retire, get a condo in Florida and watch movies on satellite TV all day while playing bridge or canasta with your neighbors. The golden years are meant to be enjoyed after all, and what better way to relax than sitting back, kicking up your legs, enjoying the hot Florida sun and watching a few good flicks to while away the hours as you sip peppermint schnapps. Here are some great movies you can catch on satellite TV for the young at heart.
Cocoon: Directed by the one and only Ron Howard, this movie features some gnarly glowing aliens, a fountain of youth, and some enthusiastic older folks. Aliens who have been shipwrecked on Earth must recuperate in cocoons, which have been stored in a swimming pool of a rented house in Florida. Some nosy seniors decide to take a dip and discover to their delight, that the swimming pool leaves them feeling rejuvenated, younger and full of life. This film airs often on satellite TV, check your local listings.
Calendar Girls: This is a heartwarming movie about a group of British ladies who decide to do a nude calendar to raise money for a local hospital after one of the women’s husbands succumbs to cancer. The movie stars Helen Mirren.
About Schmidt: This is a beautifully shot movie which tells the tale of one Mr. Warren Schmidt, who, having recently lost his wife, and struggling with a rocky relationship with his only daughter, goes on a journey of self discovery. Schmidt finds out that even though not everything in his life was what he’d hoped for, things aren’t quite so melancholy as they may seem. It’s a poignant story about coming to terms with one’s life. Be sure to watch this one in HD.
Second Hand Lions: Michael Caine and Robert Duvall star in this comedy. In the movie, a young boy, played by Haley Joel Osment of Sixth Sense fame, is sent to live with his uncles, who are somewhat eccentric. Hub and Garth turn out to have some interesting secrets of their own, and the trio bond marvelously.
Goodbye Lenin!: This is poignant and clever German film about a woman who has fallen into a coma just before the fall of the Berlin wall. In order not to upset her, her son tries to recreate socialist Germany. He creates newscasts and goes to lengths to procure old socialist food staples. This is a great little flick that the entire family will love.
Blood Work: Clint Eastwood stars as a retired FBI agent who comes out of retirement to solve a cold case. He has been given a heart transplant—and as it so happens, the heart belonged to a murder victim. The connection prompts Eastwood to hunt for the serial killer, even though he can’t drive, and has to take his daily nap in order to function properly.
