War Crimes Trial Interferes With Naomi Campbell’s Busy Schedule

Naomi Campbell doesn’t have time for this.
The British supermodel was a witness at the war crimes tribunal of former Liberian president Charles Taylor in The Hague, Netherlands. She was there to describe how the ousted leader once sent her a gift of “dirty stones,” or blood diamonds.
Campbell was called because she once received a gift of said stones from the dictator at a 1997 dinner on behalf of Nelson Mandela’s Children’s Fund.
“I did not want to be here,” she told the prosecution. “I just want to get this over with and get on with my life, this is a big inconvenience for me.”
Want some cheese with that whine, lady? We’re just glad the fashionista’s appearance came and went without phones thrown or drivers attacked.
The testimony of Campbell, one of the world’s highest paid models, is considered vital to proving Taylor, in return for the diamonds, offered weapons training to neighboring Sierra Leone rebels, who subsequently slaughtered many civilians.

George Clooney Testifies At Fraud Trial

In Milan on Friday, George Clooney testified in a fraud trial against three defendants who created a clothing line bearing the actor’s name without permission.
While addressing the court for 90 minutes through an interpreter, he insisted that a photo of him standing with the defendants was altered and his signature was forged.

Boo-effing-Hoo! Lindsay’s Lawyer Releases Official Statement – Trial “Unfair!”

Oh, boo-hoo!
Lindsay Lohan‘s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, is still whining about the alleged ‘unfair’ treatment her client received from the amazing Judge Marsha Revel, and has released the following statement:
“Ms. Lohan and I are extremely disappointed in the sentence handed down by Judge Revel. We believe that the penalty is far harsher than what others would have received under similar circumstances. The reality is that Ms. Lohan, like most defendants, had to balance work commitments with court requirements. To be punished so severely for doing so, particularly in light of the fact that she substantially complied with each of her probationary conditions, is harsh and unfair. That said, Ms. Lohan is prepared to serve her jail time and to comply with the Court’s orders.”
“With respect to Ms. Lohan’s nails, the fact is, the words could barely be seen by the naked eye. That a courtroom camera, purportedly there to accurately chronicle the proceedings, would use a telephoto lens to zoom in as it did to Ms. Lohan’s fingernail is a commentary on the entire issue.”
Far harsher than others would have received? How about she’s lucky that she’s gone this long without her ass being thrown in jail?
Someone just can’t handle not getting their way for the first time ever! THIS is what happens when you always “yes” someone and they never have any consequences for their actions!
So in conclusion, Shawn Chapman Holley, shut the fuck up and go enAAble some other trainwreck celebrity!

Naomi Campbell Subpoenaed for War Crimes Trial

She was recently subpoenaed to an Amsterdam courthouse, but, lucky for Naomi Campbell, this time it’s not about her.
The supermodel was called by judges to testify in the trial of ex-Liberian President Charles Taylor, who is charged with 11 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
According to prosecutors, Ms Campbell received an uncut diamond from Taylor — referred to in the media as a “blood diamond” — at a 1997 South Africa party hosted by the country’s former leader, Nelson Mandela.
Radar Online is reporting that Taylor has denied ever possessing the diamonds, and Campbell has “material evidence” that would refute that, prosecutors said. Campbell has been summoned to testify previously, but has yet to take the stand in the case.
Furthermore, Taylor is accused of illegally selling diamonds to pay for a civil war in nearby Sierra Leone for a ten-year span from 1992 to 2001; prosecutors requested the Netherlands court re-examine the case upon learning Taylor allegedly gave some away as gifts.
